Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong took on hosting duties for ITV's new programme, which asks viewers to answer a series of questions from home using an app. Celebrity guests were then asked to predict how the British public would answer, in a format that sounded intriguing but was branded "boring" after only one question was asked before the first advert break. The app also managed to annoy large parts of the nation, because it immediately asked users if they were Northerners or Southerners.

Armstrong, who will have a direct line to viewers at home, will pose questions on everything from "How many affairs are acceptable in a marriage? Armstrong says: "This is going to be a totally unique broadcasting experience - one where the outcomes of every round rest entirely in the hands of our audience who participate in real time. We're effectively harnessing the voting public like never before to get instant referendums on the questions that really count: what is the sexiest regional accent, and what to do when you block the toilet at a dinner party: the big stuff".
