Several years ago a couple from our church provided a Plexiglas pulpit for the stage. This plaque was positioned so that every time someone approached the podium, he or she would be reminded to exalt Jesus. I am convicted frequently as I stand to preach that my purpose is to point people to Jesus. Every believer should aspire each day to exalt Jesus in his or her life. People who encounter us each day should catch a glimpse of Christ living in us. The Christian life is a supernatural life empowered by the resurrected Lord who has made His home in us!

Certain Greeks approached Philip one day in Jerusalem. Presumably they had heard about the Savior from others, and, impressed by what they had heard about him, they now desired to spend some time with him. They wanted to get to know him personally. Sooner or later, every person who has ever lived on earth will be given a knowledge about the divinity of Jesus Christ. But knowledge about him is not enough.
As we bow our heads now for a word of prayer, I wonder how many here would like to be remembered, just to raise up your hand, and let your request be known? All right. Let us pray. And we pray, Father, that this will just not be an ordinary gathering together, but it'd be a gathering unto Thee in the bonds of Thy love and fellowship. We pray that You'll save everyone that comes to the meeting. Fill those with the Holy Spirit who so long desired It, Father.
