Possible the worst buffet ever served. Not only was the food cold and undercooked but the wait service was non attentive. To top it off when I arrived home and checked my bill they had double charged my credit card. From my home in western Maryland I tried to get them to rectify my bill and they refused. They accused one of our large party of "dining and dashing" and randomly chose my card to double charge. The manager was extremely unreasonable on the phone and unwilling to try to make this situation right. What was a marginal experience in the first place became even worse with the double charge to my card.
He and his partner, Steve Osbourn, took over the restaurant in The owners like to consider the business an original because of its 33 years in operation. The buffet boasts over 50 items, including typical seafood dishes such as crab imperial, snow crab legs, mussels, salmon and clams casino. Also offered is a raw bear, where the oysters and clams are shucked fresh to order. A pasta bar stands near the raw bar, where customers can choose their pasta, sauce and seafood.
We went for the buffet because it was right under our hotel. Should have believed the reviews. Not a super large buffet, a lot of fried selections, very tiny clams, all just average food. If you get buffet with oysters and crab legs, you go A little confusing at first.
Post a Comment. There are two things that I look at when going to a buffet- the price, and the food. The restaurant as a whole was decent looking, a little too dimly lit but otherwise fine. Now there are perhaps two strategies for eating at a buffet: sample a little of everything, or load up on a few really good items. This buffet is definitely for the second kind of eater.
